Alaska Family Camp

Limited to 4 families 6 days

Be a kid again - with the kids! Our Remote Island Camp is the perfect all-inclusive get-away for family groups. Spend quality time with your family while enjoying outstanding Alaskan activities, great food and time well spent playing together.

Each day of our camp experience includes a group activity and an evening campfire program. Included are day trips to Anan Wildlife Observatory and a Stikine River jetboat adventure up the mighty Stikine to Shakes Glacier, as well as a fun day of family fishing.

In all activities, families can choose to participate or opt out for some quality time exploring as a family, enjoying other activities or just relaxing.

 

Tongass Treasures

This is an Active Itinerary for those who don’t want to miss a thing! Accompanied by your professional naturalist guide, we pack the best of what Southeast Alaska has to offer in the way of stunning opportunities for exploring natural history, wildlife viewing and nature study in the footsteps of early explores like John Muir and Joseph LeConte.

Rivaling more high profile attractions, these local favorites are where Alaskans choose to escape the crowds.

Spectacular Glaciers, Abundant Wildlife, Amazing Wilderness Rivers, Lush Rainforest trails and Rich Cultural History await you on this "Best of the Inside Passage" experience.

The Tongass National Forest is the largest in North America, and a mosaic of forested islands. Encompassing almost 17 million acres, you will find some of the very finest opportunities to experience the natural wonders of Southeast Alaska. You don’t need to be an athlete to experience these remote yet accessible wilderness areas.

Each evening there is an introductory presentation given by local experts on the history and highlights of the following day’s adventure.

Travel the newest destination in Southeast Alaska on the new Inter Island Ferry, Alaska’s Rainforest Islands.

Visit the communities of Wrangell, Petersburg, and Prince of Wales Island, explore the unique character each has to offer and gain an appreciation of "island life". Guests can expect unique accommodations and comfortable travel by ferry and air-porter style van. We meet locals happy to share their stories and life experiences in this remote region.

Visit spectacular LeConte Glacier - the fastest flowing glacier in the world! Few on the planet get to experience this up-close and unforgettable treasure.
 

Make that Cultural Connection by exploring Native Heritage Sites with presentations by local Native artists and interpreters. Gain an understanding of this living culture and the lifestyle of our First Nations People.

Explore the art of making a living in Alaska by meeting folks from diverse backgrounds such as commercial fisherman, foresters, homesteaders, and local artists, each using their skills to support the Alaskan Lifestyle they love.
